Rep. Al Green's Impeachment Resolution
Tabled to the House today by a vote of 344-79
Donald Trump did not ask Congress for a declaration of war before launching the apparently successful attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. This prompted Rep. Green (D-TX) to introduce an impeachment resolution based on President Trump’s failure to obtain Congressional approval for the attack.
The House of Representatives, with the support of House Minority Leader Jeffries and other senior Democrats, has tabled the resolution. One hundred twenty-eight Democrats joined 216 Republicans to kill the resolution. Now tabled, it will not be considered by the House.
I read the resolution earlier this afternoon. It is worth a read. Read it here.
