"Congo Braces for HIV Surge After U.S. Aid Cuts"
The deadly impact of Trump's decision to gut USAID assistance to Africa

The July 8th Wall Street Journal reports on the impact of the Trump administration’s decision to cut anti-HIV assistance to the Congo.
The article by Nicholas Bariyo reads, in part:
A fresh wave of [HIV] cases is especially worrying in Congo, where PEP and other drugs have helped reduce deaths from HIV/AIDS to about 14,000 a year, from as high as 200,000 before the onset of the U.S. funding programs according to UNAIDS, the United Nations’ HIV/AIDS agency.
The article ends with: “Congo might run out of antiretroviral drugs by August, according to its Health Ministry.”
People will die if the Trump administration does not reverse its deadly decision. Donald Trump, please do the right thing. Please.

Well, what do you think the odds are that Trump will do the right thing? Ever? I'm not optimistic. He's not the least bit concerned with people who live in a nation like Congo where the population is black. His racism, never well hidden, is now right out in the open for all to see.
The cruelty never seems to end…
