A Poll: Should Elon Musk's $1 Trillion Salary Be Legal?
How much money does one executive need?
One trillion dollars is a lot of money, but 75 percent of Tesla shareholders approved a compensation package for part-time CEO Elon Musk providing, subject to conditions, that amount. It is far from certain Musk will meet those conditions, but, Musk is a man of surprises.
Some argue that because of his record of success (Tesla, SpaceX, and other companies), he deserves the chance to earn $1 trillion.

There’s a standard-of-living level above which a person should be embarrassed to live. This is obscene. I might feel differently if he were going to donate the bulk of it to benefit the rest of the world, but we know he wouldn’t.
